中文摘要 為因應日益嚴重的全球挑戰,聯合國(United Nations)與世界各國無不重視永續發展議題,《2030年永續發展議程》(the Agenda 2030)、永續發展目標(Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs)陸續被提出、討論、執行,面對全球在自然環境、社會經濟層面的挑戰,永續發展教育是不可或缺的一塊,我們需要培育未來世代具備跨域討論解方的能力,讓青年人得以發揮創意與行動力,促進全球永續發展,因此,「如何教永續發展」便是重要的問題。本文首先整理永續發展教育的討論與推動方向,包含個體在永續發展社會中應具備的關鍵能力、青年人在永續發展目標過程中扮演的角色,以及永續發展教育能實踐高品質教育理念。再進一步介紹相較傳統「問題導向」教學,更能保持學生在面對永續發展議題時保持好奇與創意的「解方中心」教學取向,並說明其在永續發展課程中的實踐如何更有助於學生理解現況與強化後續行動力。本文期藉由提供給教育實務工作者在課堂中以「解方中心」教學取向,促使學生認識更多針對現今永續發展議題已有之新穎解方,讓青年人成為回應與參與《2030年永續發展議程》的主體,開創與促進全人類在地與全球的永續發展未來。
英文摘要 In response to the increasingly severe global challenges, the United Nations and countries worldwide are giving great importance on sustainable development issues. The Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been proposed, discussed, and implemented to address challenges in the natural environments, and social and economic aspects globally. Education for sustainable development is indispensable in this context, aiming to nurture the future generation’s ability for interdisciplinary discussions and solutions. Empowering youth with creativity and proactive capabilities is pivotal in promoting global sustainable development. Therefore, “how to teach sustainable development” becomes a critical question. This article firstly organizes the discussions and directions for promoting education for sustainable development, induding the essential abilities individuals need in a sustainable society, the roles of youth in the process of achieving sustainable development goals, and how education for sustainable development can embody high-quality educational concepts. Further, it introduced “solution-focused approach” teaching, as opposed to traditional “problem-oriented” teaching, which encourages students to maintain curiosity and creativity when facing sustainable development issues, enhancing their understanding of the current situation and empowering them for subsequent actions. By advocating for the “solution-focused approach” in teaching, this article aims to provide educational practitioners with a tool to use in classrooms, enabling students to become acquainted with innovative solutions to current sustainable development issues and encouraging young people to become active participants in responding to and participating in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, thus fostering a sustainable future for humanity at both local and global levels.
