中文摘要 每逢升學期間,常出現對原住民學生獲得升學保障的不友善批評,特別是質疑來自族群通婚家庭的原住民學生之族群認同。然通婚家庭子女已佔有原住民族群人口一定的比例,因此探究這類學生的族群認同發展狀況,將有助於瞭解身分認定、升學保障政策與族群認同發展之間的關連。本研究以一位來自通婚家庭,並於2001年取得身分的原住民學生作為代表性個案,試圖了解這位第一批改從母姓取得身分,並獲得大學升學保障之青年的認同發展過程。研究發現,個案取得原住民身分前的族群認同,是屬於同化及未有認同階段;升學保障有助通婚家庭子女突破父系社會傳統以取得法定身分;取得原住民身分後透過相關教育政策的持續支持,有助於探索並達成族群認同,進而形成完整的雙文化認同。涵化與認同不僅是個人的選擇,亦受國家政策之影響,原住民身分認定、升學保障政策與族群認同發展之間的確可形成正向的連結與循環,並支持通婚家庭子女成為族群未來發展的重要力量。
英文摘要 There are some unfriendly criticism about secured admission for indigenous students during the entrance exam season especially towards the ethnic identity of those students form intermarriage family. The offspring from Han-Chinese/indigene intermarriage family accounts for a considerable proportion in indigenous population, therefore it can help understand the relation among indigenous status identification, educational secured admission, and ethnic identity development through exploring these students’ ethic identity development. The research object was form an intermarriage family with indigenous mother and Han-Chinese father. She was one of the first batch offspring to register indigenous status in 2001. The research found that her ethnic identity belonged to assimilation satge before status registration. The secured admission helped her break the norm of patronymy and register indigenous status. After she got indigenous status, the follow-up policy guaranteed her right and help the formation of biculturation. Acculturation and identity is not only the personal choice but influenced by the government policy. Indigenous status identification, educational secured admission policy, and ethnic identity form the positive connection, and support the offspring from intermarriage families to become the important strength for the development of indigenous people.
