Principal engaging leadership can influence staff’s engagement, and improve the quality of school. Engaging leadership is based on well-being, flow, self-determination theory, basic psychological needs theory, and appreciative inquiry, as well as integrates servant leadership, transformational leadership, and ethical leadership belongs to integrated leadership theory. Principal engaging leadership refers to “principals lead by example, build shared vision, enhance the capacity and motivation of staff, connect the cooperation and dialogue of staff, empower staff, inspire the passion of staff, and construct effective and efficient atmosphere of school.” The study adopts strengthening, connecting, empowerment, inspiring as the dimensions of engaging leadership, and concludes the engaging leadership content in terms of power, role, work, and individual culture. Finally, the study provides conclusion and suggestion for the practices and research of principal engaging leadership.
