英文摘要 Qu Baokui is a nationally famous educator. His exploration of the Theory of Education has a tremendous influence on the establishment and development of the education in our country. His academic characters deeply impact other scholars who follow. Mr. Qu’s educational exploration focuses on seeking for the essence of education theories, delving into the basic of education theories, attending to the revolution of education theories, inaugurating the Theory of Meta-Education, initiating the subject classification of education, emphasising the methodology of education, and expounding the pedagogic creed . Mr. Qu’s experience of educational research, and uneven yet rich trajectory of life construct his academic character. His academic character mainly manifests as follows: (a) he follows the doctrine that the moral character has priority over the academic performance; (b) he strictly forces himself to be rigorous and realistic; (c) he adheres to “three unifications”, which are the unification between the history and the logic, the unification between materials and points, and the unification between statements and comments,(d) he leverages academic discussion and academic debate; and (e) he advocates studies should both contain historical and theoretical components, and scholars should be both integrative and innovative. Mr. Qu' educational exploration and academic character are treasury for latecomers and gives many enlightenments to us, which include: (a) we should be dedicated to educational research; (b) we should focus on the accumulation of academic experience and draw on the educational theories, both ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign and apply them in research and practice; (c) We should scrutinize the crux of education through the lens of Phylogenetics; (d) we should focus on the reality of situation and learn from practical issues in education; and (e) we should think independently and critically.
