In 1995, in order to adapt to the trend of discipline development and the needs of China's social development, the Institute of Foreign Education at Beijing Normal University changed its name to the Institute of international and Comparative Education, entering a new period of transformation and development. The institute has strengthened the discipline construction of comparative education, expanded its research field, realized the transformation of research paradigm, deepened the process of internationalization, strengthened social services, and promoted the construction of Cultural School of comparative education.
