新冠肺炎疫情的阻击和防控是对一流大学在危机时刻履行其不可替代功能的重大考验，也不断丰富着一流大学的内涵。新加坡南洋理工大学在抗击疫情过程中发挥了一流大学作为可持续发展参与者、科技文化创新代表者以及应对社会挑战引领者的重要作用，迅速形成了指挥领导机制、技术支撑机制、教学管理机制和经济支援机制。这些组织机制是大学内外部诸多要素良性互动的结果，即校长领导力的发挥是机制建设的重要前提，雄厚的科研实力是机制建设的坚实支柱，充足的资金储备是机制建设的物质保障。

| 英文摘要 |
The prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic is an important test for world-class universities to perform their irreplaceable functions under "abnormal conditions" and it also enriches the connotation of world-class universities. Singapore Nanyang Technological University has taken active initiatives to fight against the pandemic through playing the multiple roles, such as a participant in sustainable development, a representative of technological and cultural innovation, and a leader in responding to social challenges. And it has formed organizational mechanisms including the command and leadership mechanism, research support mechanism, emergency management mechanism and economic support mechanism, which are the products of the benign interaction of many factors inside and outside the university. Specifically, president's leadership is an important prerequisite for mechanism construction; Scientific research strength is a solid foundation for mechanism construction; The strong capital reserve is the material guarantee for mechanism construction.
