中文摘要 在教育代际流动性的研究中,如何区分先天因素和后天途径是识别因果关系的重点。借助义务教育法作为外生政策冲击,应用2014年的中国家庭追踪调查数据(CFPS),通过构造断点回归模型检验了父辈受教育程度对子辈教育表现的影响,并对传导机制进行识别。研究发现:《义务教育法》的实施显著提高了父辈的受教育年限,其中男性的局部处理效应为0.45~1年左右,女性为1~1.3年左右;父辈的受教育程度对子辈的教育表现存在显著的正向影响,但由政策外生性增加的受教育年限却不能影响子辈的教育表现。这表明教育代际流动性主要依靠能力等自然遗传进行传导,基础教育政策并不能产生代际溢出效应,公平性的基础教育政策仍需要不断推行下去,才能保障每个儿童相对公平的教育机会。
英文摘要 In the study of intergenerational mobility of education, how to distinguish the nature factor from the way is the key to identify the causal relationship. To regard the Compulsory Education Law as an exogenous policy shock, this paper studies the influence of parents’ education degree on children’s education performance and the transmission mechanism. By using the Chinese Family Panel Studies (CFPS) data in 2014 and constructing the regression discontinuity design, this paper mainly finds: the implementation of the Compulsory Education Law has significantly improved people’s the education years, among which the local average treatment effect of men is about 0. 45 - 1 years and that of women is 1 - 1.3 years. Parents’ education degree has a significant positive impact on children’s education performance, but the exogenous increase of education years by the policy could not affect the education performance of the children. It shows that education intergenerational mobility mainly depends on the transmission of natural heredity such as ability, and the basic education policy does not produce intergenerational spillovers effect. The fair basic education policy still needs to be continuously implemented to ensure a relatively fair educational opportunity for every child.
