英文摘要 The delayed graduation of doctoral students has become a focus of concern for universities and the government, but there has been little relevant research. In order to explore the reasons for the delayed graduation of doctoral students and the root causes of contradictions, 32 doctoral students and 15 supervisors were interviewed. Focusing on the production, learning and teaching of advanced knowledge, it is concluded that the root causes of the delay contradiction are as follows: the mismatch between the academic foundation of doctoral students and the advanced and abstruse nature of advanced knowledge, the mismatch between the academic motivation of doctoral students and the open and explorative nature of advanced knowledge, the mismatch between the self-study ability of doctoral students and the individual and tacit nature of advanced knowledge, and the mismatch between the cultivation service of colleges and departments and the learning and teaching methods of advanced knowledge. In order to improve the current situation on delayed graduation, it is imperative to strictly monitor the admission of doctoral students and improve students' scientific research literacy in multiple ways, face up to the negative effects of learning guidance conflict and bridge the realistic tension of communication between teachers and students, and strengthen process supervision and assessment and return to the academic standard of scientific research evaluation.
