To assess the change in the teaching of occupational medicine in UK medical schools, the author sent a questionnaire survey all medical schools. The results show that only a few schools now provide lecture, project work or ward-based tuition in the subject. Workplace visits were not understaken by any school. Only two schools had the syllabus.
