This is an institutional study of Stanford University. Stanford University is relatively young among world—class universities. It has developed very fast, as it has made a good balance between innovations and traditions in its developmental strategies and has a good understanding in where, when and how to change, or to persist in traditions. This study tries to inspire the best universities in China to consider and reconsider their developmental strategies learning from Stanford University experiences.
