中文摘要      本研究旨在探討影響國中學生批判思考的相關因素,並進而驗證批判思考的可教性及其教學成效。以臺灣地區國中一年級至三年級的學生3300名(男1687名,女1613名)為研究對象,進行批判思考之調查研究,並選取高雄師大附中國中部一年級學生82名(男43名,女39名)和二年級學生64名(男31名,女33名)為對象,進行批判思考策略教學實驗,結果得到下列幾項發現:(1)國中學生的批判思考,不因其性別之不同而有差異。(2)國中學生的批判思考,因其年級之不同而有差異。(3)國中學生的批判思考,因其城鄉別之不同而有差異。(4)國中學生的批判思考,因其認知風格之不同而有差異。(5)國中學生的批判思考,因其制握信念之不同而有差異。{6)國中學生的批判思考,因其後設認知之不同而有差異。(7)國中學生的批判思考,因其家庭社經地位之不同而有差異。(8)國中學生的批判思考,部分不因其父母管教態度之不同而有差異,但大部分則因其父母管教態度之不同而有差異。(9)一年級的實驗組,經過批判思考策略教學之後,其批判思考比控制組有顯著的增進;而二年級的實驗組,經過批判思考策略教學之後,其批判思考則沒有顯著的比控制組增進。(10)一、二年級的實驗組,經過批判思考策略教學之後,其學科成績此控制組有顯著的進步。
英文摘要      The purpose of this study was to explore the related factors that influenced critical thinking, and to further testify whether critical thinking might be teachable and whether it might be effective in teaching.The subjects of this study were male and female students from the 1st grade to the 3rd grade of junior high school. In the beginning, the critical thinking of junior high school students was investigated. Then an experiment on teaching the critical thinking strategy was done with the subjects of the 1st grade and the 2nd grade of junior high school.The results of this study are stated as follows:1. Critical thinking of junior high school students dose not differ between male and female students.2. Critical thinking of junior high school students dose not differs among the three grades.3. Critical thinking of junior high school students dose not differs between the urban and rural ragion.4. Critical thinking of junior high school students differs according to the student's cognitive style.5. Critical thinking of junior high school students differs according to the student's locus of control.6. Critical thinking of junior high school students differs according to the student's metacognition.7. Critical thinking of junior high school students differs according to the socioeconomic status of the student's family.8. Critical thinking of junior high school students dose not differ in part of students but differs in most of the students according to the parent's attitude of rearing children.9. The 1st grade students in the experimental group, after being taught the critical thinking strategies, show significantly better critical thinking than those in the control group, whereas the 2nd grade students in the experimental group, after being taught the critical thinking strategies, do not show significantly better critical thinking than those in the control group.10. Students of the 1st grade and the 2nd grade in the experimental group show significantly great increase in their course scores compared with those in the control group.
