1998年，美国博耶研究型大学本科教育委员会发表了“重振本科教学：美国研究型大学的蓝图”对美国研究型大学本科教学中存在的问题及未来的改革方向，提出10条改革意见。3年后，Boyer委员会做了“Boyer报告发表后3年”的调查报告，就Boyer报告后美国研究型大学本科教学改革的情况进行了追踪调查。报告认为，研究型大学已经开始认真考虑本科教学改革的问题，并在行动和言词上都有所表现，但大学在完全实现改革本科生教学的计划还有待于进一步努力。

| 英文摘要 |
The famous report Reinventing Undergraduate Teaching: A Blueprint for America’s Research Universities was published in 1998, in which the Boyer Commission on Educating Undergraduates in the Research University had given 10 proposals on the present problems and the reformational trend in the research universities in America. Three years later, the Boyer Commission gave more attention to the undergraduate teaching reinventing, and published another report named Three Years after the Boyer Report, which was based on an investigation in 123 research universities. In this report, the Boyer Commission gave the conclusions that reinventing undergraduate teaching had been taken into account and was performed some what in words and actions, but still needed much more efforts to realize the aims completely.
