Education is developing and the views on education changes now and then. Some educational terms we use have very different meanings in different countries and societies, histories, and cultures. This paper compares and analyzes some educational terms in common use such as education, education theory, curriculum theory, education philosophy, education thoughts etc. From education as a phenomenon to as a human right, from the establishment of educational theory to the expansion of curriculum theory, from the reflection on education philosophy to the emergence of education thoughts, we can see some educational terms are not the same conceptions as we knew before.
