The content analysis of CMC provides abundant data resource for the research of online learning. The prior task of content analysis is to define the framework of analysis. The paper introduces how the content analysis of CMC is used in the research of online learning, analyses the elements which can influence framework, discusses the typical framework of content analysis and concludes the methods of framework application and exploitation.
