This paper shows the importance of activities design in open and distance learning materials and introduces the types of activities and how to create and arrange them. This paper also points out well designed activities are the important elements in planning open and distance learning materials. Because distance learners have their own features, we should consider what do the distance learners really need to design our open and distance learning materials. Only by this way, we could improve our distance learning quality.
