As a basic supporting role in E-learning, E-learning support system is widely used in recent years. However, there is a tendency that the functions of various E-learning support systems are becoming the same, and these functions are in the low level, which is far behind the new development of both technology and education. Based on analyzing the two factors─the change of learning idea and the development of computer technology─which promote the development and revolution of E-learning support system, this article discussed the latest development tendency of E-learning support system in the following aspects: Learning Design, Service-Oriented Architecture, Adaptive Learning, Collaborative learning, Mobile Learning, Intelligent Answering, developmental Evaluation, information collection and analysis in learning process, Standardization.
