| 英文摘要 |
The present article introduced the so─called ”Bologna process ” and the unprecedented spread of a theoretical model facilitated by this process. This model calls for the Europe─wide reconstruction and harmonization of curriculum design and academic degree system in higher education. The Bologna Process can be understood as a particular case of the international trend of interconnection and standardization in education area. Equipped with the insights and conceptual tools from different strands of world─systems analysis, particularly sociological neo─institutionalism, this article penetrated into the emergence and dynamic of the Bologna Process. Noteworthy are the concepts applied, including “diffusion”, “imagined model” and “rationalized myth”.
