本研究的主要目的是在探討認知發展與道德發展、角色取替能力、創造力、及人格發展等變項的關係，以為教學與輔導的參考。 研究對象取自高雄市新興國中、光華國中、三民國中、前鎮高中、高雄中學及高雄師範學院附屬實驗學校等6個學校，共1092人。研究工具有青少年認知發展測驗、修訂賓州創造傾向量表、Torrance創造力測驗、角色取替能力測驗、道德判斷測驗、及柯氏性格量表等六種，此外，亦搜集部分受試者的操行等第及德育成績，以代表道德行為。上述各項資料經過整理歸類後，分別以積差相關法、χ2檢定及變異數分析等統計方法來考驗本研究的各個假設。茲將所得結果摘述如下： （一）認知發展與道德判斷發展有關，認知發展為道德判斷發展的必要但非充分條件。 （二）認知發展與道德行為有關，認知發展較快者，其行表現較能符合中小學教師的要求。 （三）認知發展與離群傾向及自我強度等人格特質無關。 （四）認知發展與角色取替能力的關係需視受試者之年齡而定，國小六年級有顯著相關，國中二年級以後則無顯著相關。 （五）認知發展與創造力有關，認知發展較慢者其創造力較差，認知發展較快者其創造力之分散範圍較廣，從很低至很高均有。 （六）認知發展與創造傾向有關，認知發展在中上者其創造傾向分數達到最高，認知發展很慢的其創造傾向分數亦很低。

| 英文摘要 |
This monograph reports the results of a study on the relationships between cognitive development and moral development, role-taking development, creative ability, creative tendency, and personality development. The sample consisted of 1092 childrens and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17. Instruments used in this study were(a) An Inventory of Piaget’s Developmental Tasks, (b)Kohlbrg’s Moral Interview, (c)Role-taking Test, (d)Torrance’s Creative Thinking Test, and (e)Ko’s Personality Test. The study found that the relations between cognitive and moral levels were significant at all age levels. There was a significant correlation between cognitive and role-taking development at 6 th grade level, but not at 8 th grade level. Cognitive development did correlate with moral behavior, and creative tendency, but didn’t correlate with ego strength and alienation tendency.
