This paper mainly discusses the following issues: the professionlization of university president; the essential factors for modern university system; the idea for running a university; the management essence of a professionalized president; the canonical and procedural election system; the premise for the professionalization of university president; the professional standard and qualifications for a university president; the core quality for a professionalized president; the reasonable salary system and the protection for the professionalization.
