| 英文摘要 |
The article presents a critical analysis of the world university rankings 2004 and 2005 made by a British Newspaper, the Times Higher Education Supplement. The analysis involves the rankings’ methodology, criteria, outcome, and its implications for the Chinese higher education. The article concludes with a discussion of Tsinghua University’s strategies and experience of building a world─class university.
