篇名 台灣高等教育改革對大學新進女性教師之影響

中文摘要 自1990年代開始,台灣高等教育機構面臨大量擴充,逐漸走向大眾化和多樣化,但也因為資源的有限,加上少子化與國際競爭力的危機,因而政府試圖以種種措施來進行資源分配並確保高教品質。對表現的重視使得高教機構的角色經歷了經濟和管理上的轉化,本文檢視全球高等教育改革趨勢以及我國過去十餘年來相關之高等教育政策發展,如何影響大學女性教師的工作經驗,尤其是學術發展方面及其職業發展規劃。研究發現,大學女性教師雖面臨角色的重大轉變,但是,因為重視家庭的核心價值並沒有轉變,加上職場上相關性別平等措施的幫助不大,導致她們陷入極為不利的處境。最後,並提出六點建議,以供學界以及政府相關部門參考。
英文摘要 Since the 1990s, higher education in Taiwan has been experiencing great expansion. Various approaches have been taken by the government to ensure that quality will not be compromised. The pressure of keeping up with the international competition has never been greater. Consequently, academic staffs in the higher education sector have been under great pressure to redefine themselves both as teachers and researchers. In this context, this paper examines how current trend of higher education reform affects the performance and working conditions of junior women academics in Taiwan, in terms of their research, teaching and administration and management experience. It argues that the career progress of these women academics in Taiwan have been disadvantaged as a result of the higher education reform.
