大学自主性的制度环境是指决定和约束大学自主性活动的制度规则的总和。中国大学自主性的制度环境具有宏观鼓励与微观约束，制度剩余与制度匮乏，制度空间小于观念空间，短缺的民主法治传统与不成熟公民社会等特征。在这种制度境观照下，中国大学主自性体现出与政治经济的高度同构性、典型的两极性、明显的两重性、过渡性和发展不平衡性等特点。

| 英文摘要 |
The institutional environment of self─governance of the university refers to those institutions that prescribe and regulate the autonomous activities of the university. Such institutional environment in China has the following characteristics：macro encouragement with micro restraining, institutional redundancy as well as shortage, inadequate institutional space which is narrower than that of conceptual space, lacking of traditions in the rule of law and maturity in citizen ship society. Under such institutional environment, the self─governance of Chinese universities exhibits high level of structural similarities as that of China’s political─economy：typical
