本文根据所有制的属性和国际上大学通用的命名原则，提出将”民办”改称为”私立”为宜。强调教育的”公益性”，反对民办教育”营私性”的思潮。指出世界著名私立大学创办人都有正确办学理念，教育质量是大学的生命线，对困扰民办大学的办学经费问题提出了探讨性的解决办法。认为正确处理好民办大学董事会”领导”和校长”负责”的关系，是民办大学面向社会自主办学并具有活力的关键。

| 英文摘要 |
According to the attribute of ownership and the usual naming principles, it is better that the educational institutions run by the local people should be named as private school. On the ideological trend which insisting educational public welfare and opposing the seeking the private gain in private. This article lists the rights ideals of famous private universities in the world. The educational qualities are the existing key of universities, it provide some methods to resolve the problems of the finance in private universities, it is the crucial importance to resolve the relationship between the board of trustees and the headmaster of the university.
