近年来，随着我国社会经济结构的变化，高等教育与就业之间的关系成为社会关注的焦点。流入劳动力市场的高校毕业生规模急速扩大了大学生就业难现象的不断加剧本研究将聚焦面临严重就业困难的民办高等院校毕业生的就业现状和存在的问题。究竟民办毕业生是否从激烈的竞争中开拓出新的就业市场？新市场的特征是什么？他们的择业选择影响机制是什么？本研究将利用2003年6月在我国浙江、福建、上海、辽宁实施高校毕业生的调查数据，对以上问展开分析与探讨。

In the context of rapid economic and social changes in China in recent years, the relation between higher education and employment has become an increasingly critical issue. The rapid expansion of the graduate flow into the job market has deteriorate employment conditions for the new graduates. This article explores current state and problems of employment conditions for the graduates from the private higher education sector, who are faced with more serious employment challenges. Can they survive the intense competitions？What is their employment choice mechanisms？Is there a niche job market for them, and if yes what are its characteristics？This article examine these questions based on the data collected from a questionnaire survey “Survey of Graduates in the Post─secondary Education”, which was conducted in June 2003, with the sampling size of 1624 students from Zhejiang, Fijian, Shanghai, Liaoning.
