大学在录用教师过程中与教师职位申请者之间存在着较为严重的信息不对称问题。对于处在信息占有相对劣势地位的大学而言，在录用什么样的人来担任大学教师问题上承担着越来越大的风险。在严重信息不对称条件下，大学教师录过程中可能会产生”逆向选择”现象，”逆向选择”可能的后果之一，是带来大学教师队伍整体素质的降低，进而导致大学学术创造力的衰退。

| 英文摘要 |
The article argues that because of asymmetric information the university is at a relative disadvantaged position in the processes of faculty recruitment. Excessive degree of asymmetric information may lead to adverse selection in faculty recruitment, and this may risk the capacity of the entire faculty force and hence overall academic productivity and creativity of the university.
