Theories of New Public Management and polycentricity governance are the most important theories since the late 1970s, with wide─ranging implications for the theory proposes, this paper illustrates the New Public Management as well as polycentricity governance and evaluates the impact of these two theories on higher education sector, so as to offer some helpful suggestion to improve our higher education.
