    本刊為TSSCI期刊。
    臺灣師範大學教育研究中心以研究國內外教育議題、發展教育學術理論和規擘教育政策方針宗旨,提升我國教育系統整體水平,達到全人教育與終身學習的目標,秉此目標創立《當代教育研究》。
    《當代教育研究》原名《教育研究資訊雙月刊》,屬教育學術刊物,旨在傳播教育研究成果,促進學術交流,提升教育研究水準。每期涵蓋內容包括主題論文、研究論文、書評。《當代教育研究》自2005年13卷起改為季刊,每一年出版一卷四期,分別於每年三、六、九、十二月出刊,於2005年起獲列為行政院國家科學委員會「臺灣社會科學引文索引(TSSCI)」資料庫收錄之期刊。

    Contemporary Educational Research Quarterly (CERQ) (former Educational Research & Information Bimonthly) is a peer-reviewed journal of educational research published quarterly by the Center for Educational Research and Evaluation at National Taiwan Normal University. CERQ contains scholarly articles from a wide range of disciplines and of general significance to the educational community. Considered as one of the leading academic journals by National Science Council, CERQ was qualified on the list of candidate journals in the Taiwan Social Science Citation Index (TSSCI) database in 2003 and 2004, and has been formally accepted into TSSCI in 2005.



    The editorial board of CERQ expects broad submissions of genres that report, synthesize, and analyze any breakthrough outcomes of research work in education. Manuscripts of empirical and/or theoretical studies, book reviews and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative empirical studies are welcomed, as long as it focuses on the specific interests to the community of educational researchers.
