Examination based on the basic idea of curriculum standards, examination based on the general aim of curriculum standards and examination based on the course content of curriculum standards are the basic forms of examination based on curriculum standards. Examinations of the three basic forms can constitute any curriculum standards-based examination with different functions. In practice, curriculum standards-based examinations can be used to identify the effect of classroom teaching practice, distinguish the level of academic proficiency, and discriminate the candidate to meet the need of selective examination.
