有關華人心理傳統性及心理現代性的研究，已進行了三十多年，大致可分為三個 研究階段：第一階段自1969年到1984年為止；第二階段自1985到2004年為止；第 三階段則起自2005迄今。本文目的之一，即在回顧三階段研究的成果。本文另一目 的則在進一步提出未來研究方向，供後續研究參考。我們主要提出兩個未來研究的新 視角，一是探討華人心理傳統性及心理現代性並存或融合的形式；一是進行研究典範 移轉，包括：（1)從通則取向到特則取向、（2)從量化研究到質性研究、（3)從特質論 到人境互動論。

| 英文摘要 |
Some thirty years on, research on psychological traditionality/modernity among the Chinese people has progressed through three phases: 1969-1984 (Phase 1), 1985-2004 (Phase 2), and 2005 till now (Phase 3). The purpose of this article is two-fold: to review key findings from the above three phases, and to propose future directions of research. We purport two vantage points for future research. One will focus on exploring possible ways of co-existence between traditionality and modernity. The other will mount a paradigm change, from homothetic to idiosyncratic, from quantitative to qualitative, and from trait to person-situation interactional approach.
