本文以國小正式實施生命教育前的簡要調查資料，說明學生是帶著既有的生死理念與知能進入校園接受生命教育課程；教師進行生命教育課程時不能忽略學生既有的知能與態度，亦需兼顧學生的實際需求與個別差異。欲了解現階段生命教育實施狀況，於本年三四月間焦點訪談新竹市數所學校教師，發現國小階段宜有系統的生命教育課程規劃，若依個別教師的偏好與專長進行，學生恐怕無法獲得完整且系統的學習。生命教育屬於情意與態度教育，身教十分重要，生命教育典範人物不假他求，教師就是最好的生命楷模。

| 英文摘要 |
The purpose of this paper was to understand the elementary school teachers’ role in life education. Life education curriculum teachers must know: 1.The pre-learning, students already had knowledge and attitudes about life education. 2. Students needs and individual differences should be taken seriously. 3. Life Education curriculum planning should be systematic. 4. Life education is an affective education, teacher's role model is very important.
