本文以综合性世界大学排名的单项数据为参考，选出每个单项考量指针中各国排名前两名大学的数据进行分类比较，旨在分析各国顶尖大学在研究水平、师资力、教育质量、教育国际化和社会影响力等五个方面之间的差异，并据此对世界各主要国家及地区的顶尖大学建设特点进行了分析。

| 英文摘要 |
This is a comparative study of single index scores of the top two universities in selected countries, using the data from three world university rankings. The study analyses institutional and national differences showed by each of the indices, which assess research ability, faculty capacity, teaching quality, level of internationalization and social reputation. The study also discusses the characteristics in the strategies of building top universities.
