As enrollment in engineering master’s degree programmes continues to grow, so does their problems. These problems concern with issues of educational transplantation and borrowing, government responsibilities, the enterprise’ role in engineering talent training, social value of professional engineering masters’ qualification, and the social status of engineering education. At the deeper level, it is about the interactive relationship between the government, society, enterprise and institution that provide engineering education. To solve these problems, reforms are needed from inside the education sector. Moreover, it is a vital environment and condition to form a concerted agreement on the understanding of engineering education among the government, employers, and the whole society. Of course there is a gradual process.
