As the representative of New─Piagetist, SOLO taxonomy amalgamated information processing theory and Piagetian stage theory. Based on analysis of students’ response characteristics to problems in many subject areas, Solo taxonomy described the students’ cognition development rules in specific subject. This theory has important applicative value in teaching practice.
