现代化转型之镜、的中国，面临的一个巨大挑战就是为一代新人谋求新的精神境界。透过对本国历史的反思，德国存在主义哲学家雅斯贝尔斯指出：[教育即生成。教育就是人的灵魂的教育。其目标就是培养全人。]通过文化教育，依靠必要的教育和交往气氛，采用苏格拉底式的教育方式，制定有限的教育计划和完善的教育内容，雅斯贝尔斯认为教育能陶冶和生成一代新人。他进一步指出教育改革真正条件不是金钱而是回归人的教育本身。其光辉的教育思想无疑对我国进一步推进教育改革，制定新的教育规划具有重大的启迪和借鉴意义。

| 英文摘要 |
During the period of modernization, today China encounters a great challenge that is to seek a new spiritual realm for the young generation. Through the reflection on German history, Karl Jaspers pointed out that education is generation, and the task is to make‘a whole man’. To fulfill it, he proposes to create a necessary atmosphere of education or human contact, advocate Socrates-mode education and rely on a limited plan about education and a perfect curriculum, which is called civilization education. He further pointed out the education reform doesn’t mean money but the generation of the whole man. His brilliant thoughts on education will be undoubtedly good for today China’s educational reform and development.
