信息与通信技术的发展速度太快，以至于我们最好采取小规模试验的方式来运用它 ；信息与通信技术的出现加速了知识界和大学教育机构界限之间的模糊，加速了高等教育的民主化进程，给大学的性质和生存提出了严峻挑战。但是，传统的高等教育形式和机构并不会被彻底代替，对高等教育的影响在不同学科领域、对于不同的学生群体不一样。

| 英文摘要 |
This paper illustrates these impacts from five perspectives with advanced nations as cases. The author argues that （information and communication technologies）ICTs is running so fast that we would better make use of it in a pilot and small─scale way；and the tendency of ICTSs weakens and blurs institutional and intellectual boundaries of all kinds；the democratizing effect of these technologies on higher and postsecondary studies of all kinds, both through the expansion of access and the leveling of the status of institutions, posing stem challenges on the nature and survival of university despite the traditional forms will not be taken place. Lastly, the impact of ICTS on different academic subjects and kinds of education can be widely varying；and students of different talents and motivation use the new technologies in quite different ways.
