中文摘要 教育质量是大学教育最为重大的问题,也是有关部门和全社会最为关注的问题。影响教育质量因素很多,教授自律无疑是其中最为关键的因素。大学发展的历史和各国高等教育的现状都表明。教授不能自律,必然直接影响教育质量。因此,为保证教育质量,重在优化大学的内部环境,确保教授以学术为业。教育评估等外部干预措施,都要以促进教授自律为依归,否则,就会得不偿失。
英文摘要 The quality of education is the most important issue in the field of university, and it is also the issue to which government and society paid most attention. Undoubtedly, professor’s self─discipline is the key factor having effects on education quality. It has been proved from the historical development of higher education that education quality cannot be assured without professor’s self─discipline. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of higher education, the prevailing measure is to optimize the academic environment by which professors might engage to academic activities. All measures from outside universities such as education evaluation could do nothing useful if the measures could not help professors in keeping self─discipline.
