中文摘要 「工具论」是「三老」(叶圣陶、吕叔湘、张志公)语文教育思想的核心,对我国当代语文教育有着深刻的影响。它使语文教学长期以来受到「工具性」的制约,走进了科学化、技术化的误区,并导致人文精神的失落。然而,语文界至今仍有人把「三老」的教育理论视为圭臬,对于片面强调工具性所产生的弊端缺乏认真的反思。这将给正在进行的语文课程改革造成极大的思想障碍。
英文摘要 The "Instrumental Theory" is the core of Chinese educational thoughts put forward by "the Three Masters", namely, Ye Shengtao, Lv Shuxiang and Zhang Zhigong, and has exerts profound influence on the modern Chinese education. It has made Chinese teaching restricted by instrumentalism for a long period, and made it go astray into scientizing and technifying and leads to the absence of humanity spirit. However, nowadays in the circle of the Chinese education, some still regard the educational theory of "the Three Masters” as an absolute truth. They do not make good reflection carefully on the disadvantages caused by an overemphasis on instrumentalism. This will result in a great obstacle in thought to the ongoing Chinese curriculum reform.
