中文摘要 教育課程發展取向與國家在不同時期下之歷史與政治發展背景有著密不可分的關係。近年來,由各國政府相繼擬訂與多元文化相關之教育政策的行動中,即可看出各國對於社會之族群多元性的肯認。臺灣於2002年召開的「第一次全國科學教育會議」中,亦指出提供符合特殊族群學生需求的科學教育課程之必要性。本篇論文旨在檢討臺灣現行國小自然與生活科技領域課程綱要與審定版教科書內容是否反映多元文化科學教育的精神。論文首先檢視現行(2003年)九年一貫課程自然與生活科技領域課程大綱的內容,再針對臺東地區學校普遍採用的K版及N版三年級至六年級自然與生活科技領域教科書內容進行分析。經檢視後,本論文發現現行課程大綱尚未能反映多元文化科學教育精神,仍有改進之空間;而在教科書「生活經驗」題材的選擇方面,明顯地仍未跳脫以「都市」及「漢人」生活型態為中心的想法。此外,以「漢人」為中心、「西方知識」為尊的意識形態更是貫穿兩版本教科書。本論文列舉課程大綱與教科書中之意識形態問題,以做為未來自然與生活科技領域教科書修訂與相關研究建議。
英文摘要 Curriculum development is strongly related to historical and political background in different periods. In recent years, governments in different countries successively draw up multicultural educational policies. Such an action further shows that multiethnic society is recognized by these governments. In the year of 2000, “1st National Science Education Conference” suggested the necessity of providing science education curriculum which meets different ethnic groups’ needs. This paper aims to examine whether the approved Elementary Science and Technology Textbooks reflect the spirits of multicultural science education. First, the authors reviewed the grade 1-9 curriculum guidelines in Science and Technology learning area. Second, the authors analyzed the content of grade 3-6 textbooks of K series and N series (which are mostly adopted by schools in Taitung County). Research finds that the content of current curriculum does not reflect the spirits of multicultural science education, and the curriculum needs further improvement. In addition, the selection of living experiences only reflects the life style of metropolis and Han Peoples. Moreover, the contents of these two versions of textbooks imbued the ideologies of Han Peoples and the West-centered knowledge. This article points out the ideological problems in curriculum guideline and textbooks. It also gives suggestions for future revision and research of the Science and Technology Textbooks.
