The essay starts with the discussion of the cultivation goals of the curriculum standard or the general outline of the mother tongue teaching in various countries. Based on the above, the essay analyzes four value orientations of the mother tongue teaching materials in these countries, including the students-centered, ability-oriented and attainment-focused with both knowledge and affection.
