大学理念是人们对大学的最基本的理性认识和具有普遍意义的最高哲学抽象，一般可用最简单的概念形势表述出来。大学理念是一种重要的教育资源，对大学行为具有建设指导意义。从历史研究和比较研究的角度，文章认为大学理念是一个社会历史概念，它随着社会的发展而演进。今天的大学应该具有自由、自治、服务和创新的理念。

| 英文摘要 |
The idea of university is the most fundamental rational recognition of university, which has universal philosophy generalization. It can be expressed by the simplest concepts. The idea of university is an important educational resource, which can construct and instruct the behaviors in the university. From the historical and comparative research point of views, the paper think the idea of university belongs to the social –historical scope which can develop as the time goes by. And today’s university should possess the ideas of freedom, autonomy, service and innovation.
