Strong America is due to its strong economy. The American economy depends in large part on its scientific power and innovative capacity which is derived from research universities. Research universities are magnets for the most promising students from around the world. Those students choose to remain after graduation will surely make great contributions to U.S. economy, while returned ones will serve as “American ambassadors”. Universities can assist the nation in addressing the global warming threat, offering the technically likely and economically feasible solutions.
