| 英文摘要 |
This paper examines the standard three─year secondary nursing education curriculum in China and compares it with a generic associate degree nursing curriculum in the United States. Its purpose is to find out the differences between the two curricula and to promote curriculum reform for Chinese nursing education. Content analysis and interview are the primary methods of inquiry. Differences between the two curricula are found with regard to the types of courses offered and time allocation to various course categories. In addition, contrasting differences are uncovered in clinical instruction and faculty training.
