In the higher education reform movement started in 1980s, training of creative talents was established as the new educational goal of American colleges and universities. To realize the goal, the American colleges and universities attach importance to the role of service-learning, and adopt various models to develop service-learning. Service-learning have positive effects on the development of students as well as on the development of colleges, universities and the community.
