| 英文摘要 |
Facing the new technologies and the global communities, we need to rethink the role and the task of philosophy of education. The author reviews three great philosophers, including Plato, Rousseau and Dewey, and illuminates the meaning and significance of their writings on education. The article also introduces the early development of philosophy of education in the United States and its achievements and costs, pointing out that philosophy of education should have a broad horizon and more connection and cooperation with other disciplines and other educators and scholars.
