中文摘要 自我概念是個人根據對自己行為的內在知覺、對外在情境的覺察以及他人對自己的看法所形成對自己主觀的認定,會隨著個人成長、社會化以及與他人互動的歷程而改變。從早期心理動力論到近年的認知發展論,心理學家們均認為自我概念是人格結構中的核心構念,在心理健康上扮演極重要的角色。自我概念的研究早期強調整體的自我概念,近年來則主張自我概念具有多元面向,本文自多元理論的觀點,分析自我概念的意涵與結構。其次,探討個體自我概念的形成,以及自我概念的發展與年齡、學業成就、自我歸因等變項之間的關係,結果發現:自我概念的大部分層面會隨著年齡而提升、自我概念與學業成就互為因果、自我概念與自我歸因會相互影響。最後,藉由各理論之主張以及相關實徵研究,歸納整理促使自我概念改變策略,包括認知發展介入、社會化技巧介入、身體活動介入以及學業成就介入等途徑,以供研究與教學實務工作者進行研究、教學及輔導的參考。
英文摘要 Self-concept is an individual's subjective perception about oneself and it will change by the process of individual's development, socialization and the interaction with others. Either based on the Psychodynamic Theory of early years or the recent Cognitive Development Theory, psychologists have all agreed with that self-concept is the core construct of personality structure and plays a substantial role in mental health. At early stage, the research of self-concept focused on the global self-concept but recently most studies have taken in the multi-dimensional framework of self-concept. This article was based on the multi-theoretical perspective to explore the implication and structure of self-concept, the formation of self-concept and its development relationship with age, academic achievement and self-attribution. Research results reveal a few things. First, most of the aspects of self-concept will increase by age. Secondly, there is a causal relationship between self-concept and academic achievement. Finally, interrelationship exists between self-concept and self-attribution. Based on all kinds of theories and field studies, the self-concept enhancement interventions including cognitive development interventions, socialization interventions techniques, physical activity interventions, and academic achievement interventions have summarized at the end of this article, which can be used as references by school counselors and teachers as well as the future studies in self-concept enhancement.
