英汉两种语言包含着丰富多彩的习语。它们承载着不同的民族文化特色和文化信息，与文化传统紧密相连。习语中文化因素是翻译中的难点。翻译者只有在熟悉不同语言之间的差异的同时，又熟谙不同民族文化之间的差异，才能最大限度地传达语言载体所承载的全部信息，最大限度地完成与原文的交换。本文试图借助于语用学的理论，对英汉习语的文化差异及翻译作一些探索。

| 英文摘要 |
There are a multitude of idioms in both English and Chinese. The idioms, which bear different cultural features and information, are closely connected with cultural tradition. In idioms translation, cultural factor is the difficult point. Only getting familiar with the differences between different languages and cultures, can translator factor is the difficult point. Only getting familiar with the differences between different languages and cultures, can translators convey maximally the full information that the original carries, and complete the exchange of the original maximally. This paper attempts to make some exploration about cultural differences and translation of English and Chinese by means of the theory of pragmatics.
