China has experienced a population change in a relatively short period, which has impacted China’s social and economic life to different degrees. This paper analyses the relationship between the ongoing population change / trend and education, as well as the challenges raised by the population change to education development. The purpose of the analysis is to raise adequate attention of educational policy makers and planners on the population factors on education development.
