Dewey's educational value tropism is society-centered, to be exact, democratic society-centered. His educational purpose is for democratic society, and he tries to use education as tool, experimental school as experimental field to realize his education ideal of democratic society. We can get important enlightenment from it, education should pay more attention to children's present life, we should reinforce connection between school life and social life to eliminate waste phenomenon in education.
