我国的高校招生政策既借鉴了西方的招生考试模式，又深受传统科举考试文化的影响。自1906年废科举以后100年间虽屡屡变化，却是逐渐走向统一和成熟。这100年间政策的价值取向也各有侧重，公平、效率、人本等一直因应政局态势而变化。

| 英文摘要 |
Chinese policies on University Entrance Examination have been influenced by the recruitment systems of western countries and the traditional culture of imperial examinations. In the past century, the policies had been changed dramatically since 1906, but gradually became more and more matured. During this period, the policies were made with different ideological focus such as fairness, efficiency, and humanism in accordance to the political situation.
