In the early 20th century, under the leadership of four major tutors, Tsing-Hua National Literature Research Institute integrated Chinese and Western academy and educational ideas, studied China’s inherent culture and cultivated a number of famous scholars in academic community. It had played an important role in studying and spreading China’s traditional culture. Some of its traditions such as devoting much attention to the innovation of traditional culture, laying equal stress on both academic study and moral cultivation, etc. are still of great value and practical significance to us.
